⭐️Advent⭐️
I know it’s not quite time for Advent yet, but I wanted to share in case you’d like to order in time for December 1st.
1️⃣ If you’re looking for a great family resource, we highly recommend this (see pics)! We’ve been using it since 2021 to disciple our family through advent, and the kiddos love when I pull this out!
It is called The Wonder of the Greatest Gift: an Interactive Family Celebration of Advent by Ann Voskamp. It folds down into a book and has a small booklet that gives a daily devotional for each day of December. The booklet begins with Jesus’ lineage and ends with His birth on Christmas morning. Along with each devotional is a small ornament that you uncover each day and can hang on the paper, pop-up tree. The last day contains a tree topper to represent the gift that Jesus is to the weary world.
2️⃣ This is based on Ann Voskamp’s book Unwrapping the Greatest Gift, which I also highly recommend if you’re looking to go deeper for yourself this Advent season.
3️⃣ Lastly, if you really want something to deepen your faith, I highly recommend Lee Strobel’s The Case for Christmas. Strobel was an atheist, investigative journalist for the Chicago Tribune. His wife became a Christian, which he did not like. He set out on a mission to disprove his wife’s faith, but instead it turned out all the evidence pointed to Jesus, and he became a Christian. 🤍 As someone who loves to know the history behind the Bible, I can’t recommend this enough! It’s a short book (around 100 pages) but leaves an impact.
